Right wing Niklas Andersson and defenseman Ted Drury each tallied two goals to lead the Wolves to a 6-3 win Wednesday night over the Houston Aeros at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.
The victory extended the Wolves’ winning streak to a season-high three games after going winless the previous five games (0-4-1).
The Wolves (7-7-1), who shared the IHL lead with 26 home wins last season, captured their fifth victory in the team’s last five home games. They also extended their regular-season home winning against the Aeros (7-6-4) to five.
Andersson, on assignment from the NHL’s Calgary Flames, has six goals and seven points in five games since joining the Wolves on Nov. 9. He had 20 goals and 21 assists in 52 games last year. The teams meet again Friday.
