Robert L. Teets, 77, of Naples, FL and Niles, IL, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at his Naples home. He was born May 25, 1923 in Effingham, IL, a son of the late Ulysses A. and Goldie Sharp Teets. He was an Electrician and the former owner and operator of Forbes Electric, Bellwood, IL. Bob was a U.S. Army M/Sgt. in World War II who was the proud recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with one bronze star and a Philippine Liberation Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. He was member of the VFW Post #7712 and the Evans Masonic Lodge #524 F. & A.M. He also loved to golf and was a member of Windstar Country Club, Naples and Riegemoor Country Club, Chicago, IL. Survivors include his loving wife of over 52 years, Helen Mae Malone Teets of Naples; a daughter Karen S. Nassib, wife of Rami Nassib of Plainfield, IL, a son, John Robert Teets, husband of Cindy of Round Lake Beach, IL; five grandchildren, Christopher Avildsen, Michael Avildsen, Samantha Teets, Robert Teets and Liam Nassib; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service Monday, 10:00 a.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
