Because the snafu in Florida and elsewhere in this country caused such a commotion, many people have asked, is the body of electors that elects the president and vice president of the U.S. really necessary?

It seems futile to vote, especially because the popular vote, the vote that is representative of the populace, is not considered valid. The electoral vote issued by the bureaucracy, which favors certain political parties, is used to choose the president and vice president, which is unfair and an insult to the American people.
