Mathilde Matthes, born in Germany in 1909 and longtime Chicago resident, died November 17, in Negaumee, MI, loving wife of the late Otto H. Matthes; devoted mother of Roy Matthes of San Francisco, CA, and Marion (Lawrence) Ellerbruch of Negaumee, MI; proud grandmother of William (Misty) Ellerbruch of Negaumee, MI and Robert Ellerbruch of Lafayette, IN; fond great-grandmother of Kelly and Jessica Ellerbruch; also survived by loving brother Adolph (Elly) Haecker, sister, Emma Vath; and many nephews, nieces and friends. Graveside services were held at Acacia Park Cemetery.
