Would it be politically incorrect to ask why the Tribune did not bother to mention that Dec. 7 was the 59th anniversary of Pearl Harbor? As I raised the flag that morning, a 12-year-old boy on his way to school asked me why I was displaying the flag. I asked him if he knew what happened on Dec. 7, 1941. His best guess was “D-Day.” I wonder why?
