Birth date: Sept. 3, 1968.
Birthplace: I was born on Cape Cod, Mass., and grew up in Houston.
Occupation: Designer. I’ve designed clothes and maternity wear worn by Julianna Margulies, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Kate Hudson, Heather Locklear, Yasmine Bleeth, Amy Brenneman and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Current home: Chicago.
Marital status: Married to Danny Zoller for six years.
Children: Chloe, 2 years old.
Car: A white 1999 Land Rover Discovery truck.
Working on: My fall-winter 2001 collection.
The last good movie I saw: “Almost Famous.”
I stay home to watch: “Sex and the City.”
The book I’ve been reading: “Eden Close” by Anita Shreve.
Favorite meal: Sushi.
Personal hero: My mother, most definitely. She worked since I was a baby as a buyer for a big clothing store. She would take me on business trips occasionally. She made it all work.
I’m better than anyone else when it comes to: Being hard on myself.
I’d give anything to meet: Anna Wintour, the editor of Vogue magazine. I’d love to dress Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Aniston.
The two things I can’t stand: Inefficiency and laziness.
If I could change one thing about myself: I wouldn’t take things so personally.
My most irrational act: I walked out on one of my first job interviews after design school because I was offered a very insulting sum of money. I was told it was so low because I was going to be living with my boyfriend and wouldn’t have to pay rent. That was 10 years ago.
Most humbling experience: At the first fashion show my pieces were ever in, my first outfit came down the runway upside down.
The three words that best describe me: Fair, determined and caring.
