Caron Butler had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists Tuesday night–Connecticut’s first triple-double since the 1995-96 season–as the No. 10 Huskies (10-1) beat Rhode Island 87-76 in Hartford, Conn.

– Joe Crispin was 4-for-6 from three-point range and scored 22 points to lead Penn State to a 65-52 victory over Princeton in the Holiday Festival. The Nittany Lions (8-1) face two-time defending champion Hofstra in Wednesday’s night final at Madison Square Garden.

– Arizona State’s women’s team faces Tennessee Wednesday night at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix. It’s believed to be the first college game played outdoors.
