I live in the city, and I can commute downtown via either Metra or the CTA. In this past “December to remember,” I have switched my allegiance and become a stalwart CTA rider. The CTA has consistently performed better than Metra and, even in those cases where the CTA has stumbled, it is more pleasant on the “L.” When things go bad on the commuter lines, Metra riders turn nasty!
