To all the whining, self-important people who wrote recently about delays, long commuter times and clogged roads (because of recent snows): Stay home for a day. Stay off the trains. Stay off the buses. Stay off the roads. Believe it or not, the world will go on if you do not make it into your office.
For more than 20 years, we have lived on a small farm two miles from town. I remember a weekend blizzard in January of 1981 (2- to 5-foot drifts on our road) when we were snowed in for more than three days. When I finally got myself and a few neighbors into town, guess what? The town was still there!
