Marilyn Margaret Alexander, 71, of DeMotte, IN, passed away Tuesday January 2, following a long illness, formerly of South Holland. Born in Chicago to Charles and Eileen, nee McMahon Miller; beloved wife of Edward P. Alexander; cherished mother of four sons Edward, Peter, James, and Danny Alexander and one daughter Eileen Cook; devoted grandmother of five grandchildren; loving great-grandmother of one; and one sister. She was the co-owner of City Auto Parts and Sales in Calumet City and Hammond retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, The Blue Army, and The Independent Order of Forresters. Visitation Friday January 5, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday morning at the Family Service Funeral Home Todd-Miller Chapel in DeMotte with Rosary at 4 p.m. Funeral mass Saturday January 6, at 1 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, DeMotte, IN.
