While urging us to use public transportation, city and CTA officials seem to forget something: Getting off a bus is virtually impossible with frozen snow and ice piled high at many bus stops. Passengers are good about helping each other, especially at treacherous rear doors, then must stand in the street waiting for traffic to break. It’s downright scary.
