“If Miami and Florida State both win, I won’t hesitate to make Miami No. 1,” says the Tribune’s Andrew Bagnato. “One of the beauties of college football is that the regular season still matters.”
How in the world can Mr. Bagnato say that the regular season matters if he is willing to rank Miami ahead of Washington, which beat Miami in head-to-head competition, has but a single loss and played in perhaps the toughest conference in the country? This type of double talk and biased, contradictory voting certainly makes it difficult to take Mr. Bagnato seriously.
