In his article on the ’66 Purdue Rose Bowl team (Tribune, Dec. 28), Andrew Bagnato refers to kids from Chicago and northwest Indiana who were featured on the team. Overlooked was a Chicago native who played halfback that year: Bob Hurst, who is now a Chicago police officer.

Bob Hurst, my father, caught two passes in the ’67 Rose Bowl, setting up the winning score.
