Roger E. Karlsen, age 64, passed away January 6, 2001, loving husband of Catherine, nee Rose; beloved father of Eric and Carol (Robert) Bailey; preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Ethel and his brother Warren; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Roger enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and playing golf at his home on Lake Wisconsin near Madison, Wisconsin. Funeral Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, to St. Thomas of Villanova Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
