Sam Smith makes a good point about Michael Jordan being in training to run the Bulls (Tribune, Jan. 4). I call being president of the Wizards his graduate school in basketball, and I think he is learning his lessons well.
There would be even more expectations from him as an owner/executive in Chicago than in Washington, so he will be better prepared and more mature, and will have made his mistakes there and learned from them. Thankfully, he seems to be really attached to Chicago, and Chicago loves him and his family being here. I am so happy he didn’t move to Washington because Chicago is his kind of town.
He said at the last Grant Park celebration, “My heart, my soul, my love will always be in Chicago.” Now we just have to be patient, as he does, and get his body and bright mind back in the United Center for good.
