Richard Wesolek, 74, of Addison. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 10 a.m. at Geils Funeral Home, 260 W. Irving Park Road, Wood Dale. Born October 12, 1926 in Poland, he died January 5, 2001 at his home. Mr. Wesolek fought for Poland’s freedom during World War II. He came to the U.S.A. in 1950 and enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Richard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Helen; daughter Elizabeth Anders, sons Richard and Steven; six grandchildren; many more loving family and friends. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, at Geils Funeral Home. Private interment in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will follow.For information, 630-766-3232
