William Merrill Snyder, age 86, born November 14, 1914, in Excelsior Springs, MO, died January 6, 2001, at Palos Community Hospital, Palos Heights, IL, resident of Franciscan Village, Lemont, IL, Lake Holiday, Somonauk, IL, and formerly of Hinsdale, IL, beloved husband of the late Lucey Helen, nee Leonard, for 56 years; loving father of William Merrill Jr. (Kelly) of Downers Grove, IL, Stephen Leonard (Dorothy) of Coto de Caza, CA, Jeremy Edward (Janice) of Hinsdale, IL, Samuel Kevin (Patti) of Temple, TX, Brian Anthony (Barbie) of Cardiff, Wales, and the late Jefferson Merrill; dear grandfather of 10; fond brother of Louie Snyder of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, and fond uncle to many. Mr. Snyder was owner of Snyder Sales Company, a manufacturers representative company in the electrical business in the Chicago area, from 1952 to 1984.
