Geraldine Pattee, 76, a 20-year resident of Wheaton and a retired anesthesia nurse, died Monday, Jan. 8, in Community Convalescent Center in Naperville. Ms. Pattee was born in St. Paul. She received her nursing degree from St. Mary’s Hospital of Nursing in Hammond and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Detroit. From 1962 to 1974, she served in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of captain. She was stationed in Newfoundland, Canada, and at Wright-Patterson Air Force base near Dayton, Ohio. She also was a nurse at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Ms. Pattee is remembered for her fun-loving spirit, generosity, interest in reading, sewing, woodworking and fishing. Survivors include her sister, Catherine. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 480 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
