Claire Meineke, nee Rygel, age 78, beloved wife of the late William T. Meineke; loving mother of Walter R. Meineke and Susan (Robert) Bloss; dear grandmother of Ann L. Bloss and Robert Bloss Jr. Active in her community, Claire was instrumental in the Ken-Well Club, Citizens against the Crosstown Expressway and the Women’s Republican Club. In her earlier years, she was also very active in St. Anne Sodality, the Girl Scouts and fundraisers for good causes. Her generosity, intelligence and good humor will be one of her greatest legacies. But above all, her greatest love and concern was for her family. Funeral service Thursday, 9 a.m. from Theis Gorski Funeral Home, 3517-27 N. Pulaski Rd., to St. Viator Church.
