At Northwestern, he taught political science, lectured on business law and was a chairman of the real estate department. “He was quite an adventurer,” said his daughter, Nancy Taylor, explaining that he took his family on trips to Cambodia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and the former Soviet Union. “He just had so much energy. He even went on a safari when he was in his 80s,” his daughter said. Other survivors include his wife, Betty; three sons, Mike, Richard and John; and three grandchildren. A service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheridan Shore Yacht Club, 20 Harbor Drive, Wilmette.
