Rose Lechowicz, nee Loboda, 95, of Chicago, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness. Beloved wife of over 50 years of the late Frank Lechowicz; loving mother of Commissioner Ted (Suzanne) and the late Edmund (Dolores) Lechowicz; cherished grandmother of Edward (Tracy Shine) and Laura. Rose was very active in her parish and in the Polish-American Community. She was a former member of the St. Stanislaus B&M Rosary Society, Weber High School Mother’s Club, Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, Polish National Alliance and Ironside Post. She loved attending daily mass, sewing, baking, reading and taking care of her grandchildren. Visitation Friday, Jan. 12, 2001 atPietryka/DeNicolo Funeral Home, 5734-40 West Diversey, Chicago, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Prayer Service at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus B&M Church, Long and Belden Avenues.
