Ell, age 85, of Calumet City, formerly of the East Side, beloved husband of the late Geneva, nee Erbe; loving father of Jerome (Grace), William (Kathy), and David (Ruth) Ell; devoted grandfather of six and great-grandfather of five; dear brother of the late John (Kate) and late Frank Ell, Bertha (Roy) Kuntz, Daniel, and Lawrence (Cathy) Ell; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of U.S. Steel Gary Works. Formerly active member of St. Vincent DePaul Society. Visitation Sunday, 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services Monday, January 15, 2001 at 9:30 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to Church of the Annunciata.
