Melvin T. Sharp, 76, of Wheaton for 35 years and formerly of Chicago, beloved husband of Marilynn L., nee Benson; dear father of Gregory (Diane) Sharp, Randall (Maureen) Sharp, Deborah Nicholson and Cynthia (Thomas) Heath; proud grandfather of Jason and Amy Sharp, Cory Nicholson, Jeffrey and Ashley Heath; and brother of Donald and Gordon. Born Oct. 30, 1924 in Chicago, Mr. Sharp worked for the CNA Insurance Company for 35 years. He was also a member and actively involved in many church activities at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wheaton. He especially loved singing in the choir. Visitation Friday, Jan. 12, 3 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Funeral Service Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 802 E. Geneva Road, Wheaton, IL 60187. A meal at church will follow, then interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church.
