My not-quite-3 1/2-year-old great-granddaughter, who goes to a preschool named Wolcott School in Thornton, can recite the Pledge of Allegiance. It warms my heart when I hear her say it so beautifully and breaks my heart when you hear that so many are defacing the flag.
We should all be so proud to see that piece of cloth flying proudly to remind us of all the freedoms we have in this great country of ours through the great sacrifice of so many of our men and women.
I commend the teachers at Wolcott for teaching the little children to recite the pledge.
