As I watched the bowl games bring in the new year, I kept thinking how unfortunate all of the college football fans were. Thanks to the Fiesta Bowl committee, we were cheated out of perhaps the best college game of the year. Placing Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl was not only a slap in the face to Virginia Tech but to Oregon State as well. These two teams deserved to play each other.
We all know that Notre Dame brings in more revenue for the bowls, but let’s think about who these bowl games really belong to. Let’s forget about the money and give the game back to the players where it belongs.
How exciting it would have been to watch Michael Vick scrambling from the Oregon State defense.
