John James “Jack” Morrison, age 74, of Eden Prairie, MN, formerly of Irving, TX. Born in Evanston, IL on Sept. 18, 1926, died Jan. 11, 2001. Survived by wife of 50 years, Virginia; children, Mary Beth (Kirk) Taylor of Eden Prairie, John (Patricia) Morrison of Dallas, TX, Virginia (Gregory) Gadel of Eden Prairie and James (Laurie) Morrison of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, John Collin, Amanda Elizabeth, Caitlin Mary, Matthew Ahlf, Douglas James, Colleen Mary, Kevin Joseph and Emily Elisabeth; sister, Mary Partlan of Evanston, IL; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Nellie and Matthew A. Morrison; sister, Elizabeth Ferguson and husband, Gen. Edwin C.; brother, Frank Morrison and wife, Katherine; brother-in-law, Donald Partlan; and grandson, Collin Taylor. Owner of Midas Muffler Shops in Dallas, TX. Former 28 year member of the Chapel of the Incarnation, Irving, TX and Serra Club Int’l. A graduate of Michigan State University and member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Served in U.S. Air Corps. WWII, 2nd Lt. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, 10 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Community, 8201 Main St., Chanhassen, MN, 952-934-9106. Visitation Monday 6 to 8 p.m. at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Ln., Eden Prairie, MN and one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
