The “American Music Awards” was pretty entertaining until the performance at the end of the show when ABC allowed Marilyn Manson to be seen during a public broadcast. Does anyone at ABC really know what Manson stands for? If they do it should make all of us sick that we live in a country that would allow someone of his nature to enter the living rooms of our children. God Bless Manson and may he find salvation, but as he is walking on a road of hatred, is it a positive thing to have him seen by children who are still capable of being influenced by someone they see on television?
Freedom of self-expression is everyone’s right, until you start to use that freedom to send negative energy into the world. Once the message you send out becomes morally unacceptable, the people who care about the world we live in have the right to stand up and say enough is enough.
It’s plain and simple–someone who stands for evil and hatred should not be allowed to have access to our children. The time has come to start banning certain things.
