Mary Kathleen Ludeman-Dowell, nee Snively, born Jan. 1, 1921 in Columbus, OH, passed away Jan. 11, 2001, beloved wife of the late Lincoln Ruffin Dowell and the late Henry Clinton Ludeman; loving mother of Kathleen (Gordon) Franke of Mandeville, LA and the late Philip Ludeman; dear stepmother of Christine Dowell of Ventura, CA; cherished grandmother of Gordon, Elizabeth and Geoffrey; devoted sister of George Edwin (Huang) Snively and Myra Jean (the late William) Sieck; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. She had a career as both a professional singer and a voice teacher that spanned over sixty years, and was an inspiration and mentor to all. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 17th, 1 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2515 Central Park Ave., Evanston. Interment private.
