Anastasia “Ann” Marcos-Hassold, nee Demopoulos, born Sept. 3, 1912 in Chicago. An extraordinary lady passed away on December 11, 2000, in San Diego, CA. Ann was the first born and first generation of Greek imigrant parents. Devoted mother to Katherine Marcos, Dolli Asaro and Peter Marcos; adoring grandmother to Andy Asaro, Mark (Shannon) Marcos and Mark Kreling and Matthew (Tracy) Kreling; great-grandmother of Nicole and Amanda Marcos and Samantha Kreling; loving aunt of many in Chicago. Preceded in death by her first husband Tom Marcos, second husband Paul Hassold and her daughter Sophia Kreling. Her parents Harry and Elaine Demopoulos; sisters Mary Doyle, Alice Dwilt, Ann Daitch, Ruth Kintonis, brothers Lincoln, George, and Peter Demopoulos. In loving memory of her, those that were fortunate to be blessed by her radiant smile and generousity will never forget the love that she bestowed so freely. She was the strength of our family.
