Stella Bonkowski, age 98, of Elgin, passed away Jan. 13, 2001 at Maplewood Care, Elgin, member of Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, Saint Thomas More Fellowship Club and Royal Neighbors of America; survived by a daughter, Carol Howarth of Elgin; a sister, Harriet (Frank) Charvat of Naperville; special niece Joan Pfaff of Newark, IL and many other nieces, nephews and friends; preceded in death by a son, Robert; a daughter, Dorothy Butcher; a granddaughter, Frances Butcher; her husband Alphonse and two brothers Theodore and John. All services were private.
