George M. Illich Jr., 79, of Lake Forest, died January 13, 2001. Graduated from M.I.T. in 1942B.S., 1943 M.S. and was a Chemical Engineer at Abbott Laboratories. Husband of Jane; father of Helen (Rev. Robert) Towner, Stephen (Ginny) Illich, Jeanne (Tony) Sposito, James Illich and Elizabeth Illich; grandfather of Ted Towner, Seth Illich and Scott Illich. Memorial Service 2 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2001 at the church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Interment private.
