Raymond Patrick Doran Sr., age 72, of Braidwood, IL, passed away Monday, January 15, 2001, born Dec. 12, 1928 in Chicago, fond son of the late Edward J. and Marie Muench Doran; beloved husband of Barbara, nee Blanchard; loving father of six, Raymond Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Suzanne (Robert) Pihl of Orland Park, Patrick (Cynthia) Doran of Lockport, James (Socorrito) Doran of Valparaiso, IN, Erin (Scott) Simpson of Carlinville, IL and Jean (Daniel) Petrow of New Lenox, IL; proud grandfather of 18; and two great-grandchildren; dear brother of eight sisters, Dorothy Naughton, Lorraine McLaughlin, Virginia Baier, Sr. Anne Marie Doran, R.S.M., Catherine McSorley, Marie Elsen, Margaret Hastings and Barbara Novotny and one brother Richard Doran; fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews; preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Gerald and Philip Doran. Raymond had been employed at Commonwealth Edison, Will County Station for 38 years. WW II veteran, U.S. Navy. Member of American Legion Post #0118 in Chicago and the Knights of Columbus.
