William F. Knees III, US Army Veteran, loving son of the late William Jr and Kathryn, nee Colie Knees; cherished brother of the late Margaret Frances (the late Edwin Sr.) Cook and Kathryne Jean ‘Kay’ Knees; dearest and precious uncle of Edwin Jr. and George (the late Rita) Cook, Diane (Richard) Pawelko, Jack (Vicky) Cook, Kathryne Ray, Margy (Gary) Karczewski and the late Dorothy Cook; proud great uncle of seven nephews and five nieces and great-great uncle of three nephews and six nieces; dear nephew of Marie ‘Aunt Tootsie’ Eagan; special and fond friend to Fran Quirk, ‘Uncle Bill’s’ legacy will always be remembered as well as always be missed by other relatives, family and dear friends. Employed as a Methods Engineer with 28 years of dedicated service with White Cap Company Chicago as well as served on the Board of the Credit Union. Devout Member for 60 years of St. Paul Congregation Church where he faithfully served his faith community as a Deacon, Treasurer and Choir Member. Resting on Wednesday from 3 till 9 p.m. at the Lawrence Funeral Home, (Thomas M. Janusz Director) 4800 N Austin at Lawrence where services will be held on Thursday January 18, 2001 at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Emblem Cemetery.
