V. Edward Lawrence, age 94, passed away Jan. 14, 2001, in Matteson, IL, formerly of Highland Park and Flossmoor. Born in Chicago, April 1, 1906. Graduate of the University of Chicago. Founder and former owner of DeLawrence Co. Beloved husband of the late Marion, nee Desmond and the late Frances, nee Sipich; loving father of Diane (Dr. Leon) Hoyer and Leigh (Virginia) Lawrence; devoted grandfather of Helen Hoyer, Scott (Susan) Lawrence, Sharon Hoyer, Patricia (Anthony) Smith, Jennifer Lawrence, Erik (Jennifer) Hoyer, Todd Lawrence and Peter Lawrence; dearest great-grandfather of Madeline and Maximilian Smith. Funeral service Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at The Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W. Belmont Ave. Visitation Wednesday, morning 9 a.m. until time of service.
