Kathryn Peters Ricketts, born Feb. 17, 1910, died peacefully on Jan. 13, 2001 at King Bruwaert House in Burr Ridge. Mrs. Ricketts was born in Benton Harbor, MI and was a longtime resident of Park Ridge, IL. She was involved in the family restaurant business, The Homestead Restaurant in Melrose Park, founded by her late husband, Ashley Hugh Ricketts. Mrs. Ricketts was an astute financial investor and was devoted to her family. She will be remembered lovingly by her son, Ernest Ashley Ricketts; daughter, Catharine Ricketts Greenwald; daughter-in-law, Kathaleen Richards Ricketts; son-in-law, Kenneth Greenwald; her cherished grandchildren, Emlyn and Sterling; her dear sister, Violet Kesterke of Atlanta; fond sister-in-law, Esther Ricketts; dedicated friend, Thelma McWey of Maywood; and many more nieces and nephews.
