McGuire, age 76, January 17, 2001, late of Plainfield, formerly of Oak Park, Veteran WW II serving U.S. Navy, loving husband of Margaret McGuire; father of William McGuire, Jr., Mary Lou (Robert) Taylor, Maureen (Albert) McGuire, Patricia (Daniel) Barbour and Margaret (James) Goettsch; brother of Margaret Coughlin; grandfather of 12; preceded in death by his parents, James and Mae McGuire. Visitation Thursday 3 to 9 p.m. at the Anderson Memorial Chapel, 606 Townhall Dr. in Romeoville. Funeral Friday 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel, to St. Andrew Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
