– A Jan. 7 Metro section article misstated Kristine Hettinger’s comment on Aurora’s plans to expand its rental-unit licensing and inspection program. Hettinger said the Aurora Tri-County Association of Realtors would take the same position it held in 1995, when it argued that an earlier expansion would “not accomplish the stated goals and will cause unnecessary governmental intervention and hardships on private property owners.”
– In the Upper Bracket column in Sunday’s Real Estate section, it was incorrectly reported that actor Chris O’Donnell owns a house in Barrington. In fact, O’Donnell does not own a Chicago-area residence.
– Friday’s Tempo section, containing a story about Rev. Jesse Jackson’s endorsement of the film “Chocolat,” was printed before the news broke about Jackson’s having fathered a daughter in an extramarital affair.
