Raymond T. Goetz, 48, of Chicago, died Jan. 11 in his hometown of Lawrence, KS. He was the devoted son of Elizabeth, nee Morey, and the late Raymond Goetz of Lawrence, KS; beloved older brother of Sibyl Goetz Wescoe of Mequon, WI, Victoria Goetz of Lawrence, KS, Thomas Goetz of Longmont, CO, Steven Goetz of Zurich, Switzerland and Morey Goetz of Austin, TX; beloved uncle of four nephews and two nieces. A University of Chicago graduate who followed his father into the practice of law, Ray was a cherished colleague and dear friend at Hopkins & Sutter and, most recently, Gardner, Carton & Douglas. His family, friends and colleagues will hold a Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26 at Bond Chapel at the University of Chicago, 1050 E. 59th Street.
