As a Cubs fan for almost all my 85 years–my father had a box and took me to games as a small child–I say let Sammy Sosa go. True, he hits home runs, but how many times has he struck out when a home run would have won a game? Mark Grace was a much better all-around player.
Sammy has threatened the Cubs–he won’t be happy if he doesn’t get what he wants, and when he’s not happy he doesn’t play well. He wants to make millions in the United States so he can go home to the Dominican Republic and live like the king he thinks he is.
No matter what, I’m still a Cubs fan and will be till the day I die.
