As a naive and impressionable youth, I often looked at Rev. Jesse Jackson as a man of the people, always looking out for the little guy.
And, of course, I assumed that he practiced what he preached.
Since those glory days, I have been disappointed not a few times by Rev. Jackson’s actions.
Controversies surrounding him, including the recent Decatur incident, his habit of turning his head when situations occur that may make Mayor Richard M. Daley look bad and this latest scandal only prove that he is nothing more than what most politicians are: a hypocrite.
