A community planning workshop is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall to discuss residents’ opinions on development issues and other concerns.
The city’s new Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee has begun work with city officials to create a 20-year comprehensive plan for development in Geneva. The committee includes members of the Plan Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Retail Task Force, Strategic Plan Advisory Committee, park and school districts, library, Chamber of Commerce and City Council.
The plan will address East State Street redevelopment, maintaining downtown vitality, architectural character preservation and traffic congestion.
