Elmo G. Poole, 76, of Elmhurst, a retired regional director of the U.S. Passport Agency in Chicago, died Sunday, Jan. 21, in Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. He was a graduate of the University of Missouri. Mr. Poole was a veteran of the Army Air Foreces in World War II and was a member of Elmhurst American Legion Post 187. Mr. Poole also was a member of DuPage Chapter 1771 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees; Second Chance New Voice Club of the International Association of Laryngectomees; and Skal International, an association of travel and tourism professionals. Mr. Poole retired in 1983. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Thursday until services at 2 p.m. in Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst.
