Lucille Mathilda Cora Landmeier, 81, of Elburn, IL, passed away in the comfort of her family’s presence early Monday evening, Jan. 22, 2001 at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, IL. She was born on June 14, 1919 in Des Plaines, IL. She was united in marriage to Wesley Fred Landmeier on April 6, 1940 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Niles, IL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Lucille will be forever in the hearts and minds of her family, friends and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her beloved husband of 60 years, she is survived by one sister, Ethel Lemke, of Niles, IL and one brother, Martin (Audrey) Jaacks, of Des Plaines, IL; two brothers-in-law, Edward (Mabel) Oehlerking of Cape Coral, FL and Lenard Cain of Ocala, FL; two children, Lester (Joyce) Landmeier of Big Rock, IL and Valerie Landmeier of Sugar Grove, IL; four grandchildren, Julie (Curt) Moon of Elburn, IL, Jason Landmeier, Heather Landmeier and Hilary Landmeier, all of Sugar Grove, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Martha Jaacks; one sister, Helen (Frank) Lehman and two brothers, Ralph (Gwen) Jaacks and Walter Jaacks; one sister-in-law, Marian Oehlerking and one brother-in-law, Elmer Lemke. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Healy Sugar Grove Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001 at 10 a.m. at the English Congregational United Church of Christ, Third and Rhodes, Big Rock, IL. Interment will take place at Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, IL.
