I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in the home of Jesse Jackson over the weekend as he was spinning an explanation to his wife about his extramarital affair with Karin Stanford, the former Operation Push official, that resulted in the birth of a daughter. He might have reminded his wife that had there been no scandal–and thus, no weekend retreat from public service–it might have been just another work-filled weekend of jaw-flapping for him and she wouldn’t have enjoyed the pleasure of his undivided attention for two or three days.
No doubt Jesse Jackson–master spinner and orator–has his wife thinking she’s still the luckiest woman in the world.
I wish Mrs. Jackson well and hope someday she will be able to extricate her head from the sand and see her philandering husband for what he really is–just another guy who can’t keep his pants up.
