Roy J. Anclade, 74, of Buffalo Grove, retired in 1992 after 27 years as a printer, 12 of them with Bell Litho Inc., an offset printing company in Buffalo Grove. Mr. Anclade was previously a printer for 15 years with the former I.S. Berlin Printing Co. in Chicago. Mr. Anclade, who was born in New Orleans, died Sunday, Jan. 21, in his home. Mr. Anclade served with the U.S. Merchant Marines at the end of World War II. He was an usher for St. Mary Catholic Church, Buffalo Grove, for the last 10 years and a playground supervisor at the church school for the last five years. “He was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather,” said his son Bruce. “He was a hard worker. He was dedicated. He worked up to three jobs at a time to make ends meet. He loved sports and travel and doing everything with his wife.” Survivors include his wife of more than 50 years, Elaine; two other sons, Richard and Gary; two daughters, Karen Hawkinson and Nancy Sandefur; a sister, Irene Rosenbach; and seven grandchildren. A visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Catholic Church, 75 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove.
