Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
As someone who travels more than 150,000 air miles a year, I was quite interested in “Sometimes you can get more room in coach” by Charles Lockwood (Travel, Jan. 28). The feature indicated United Airlines provides slightly more space in the forward section of its coach cabin for its high-mileage frequent fliers.
What the feature did not point out is that even frequent fliers can end up in the cramped rear cabin if the reservation is booked late or that section of the cabin is full.
American Airlines, on the other hand, has respaced its entire coach cabin, which assures the frequent flier that even on last-minute trips, there will be more legroom.
