Thelma Ruth Hirsch Lasher, passed on peacefully at 4:15 a.m. Jan. 31, 2001, in Wheaton, IL. She was a lifetime resident of Southern California. Beloved wife for 62 years of David E. Lasher; loving mother of Patti (Ronald) Mehling and Loren Lasher; devoted grandmother of Kimberly (Edward) Waterous and Kevin Mehling and greatgrandmother of Shalom and Savannah Waterous; fond sister of Margaret (Marvin) Katz, Harriet (Irvin) Hoffman, Doris (Nathaniel) Dunner and the late Joseph (Josephine) Hirsch; cherished daughter of the late Samuel and Rillia Jane Hirsch. Thelma was a writer, painter, sculptor, organist, swimmer, stockbroker, chicken rancher and lover of learning and travel. Visitation Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S.
