Bernice Brummel Brown, 90, of Savoy, IL, formerly of Glen Ellyn and Sarasota, FL, Jan. 31, 2001, born Jan. 27, 1911 in Wheaton to the late Joseph and Clara Lenartz Brummel; married Edward H. Brown Sr., June 28, 1933; mother of Edward H. Brown Jr. of Champaign, IL, Thomas J. Brown of Joliet and Richard J. Brown of Northfield.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; preceded by a brother. Memorial Mass Friday, Feb. 10. 2001, 11 a.m. at St. Petronille Catholic Church, Glen Ellyn, Rev. Gerald Sirabelli officiating. Burial St. Michael Cemetery, Wheaton. Mrs. Brown graduated from St. Michael Grade School in Wheaton, Trinity High School in River Forest and Moser Business College in Chicago. Member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Champaign and former member of St. Petronille Church, Glen Ellyn. Her interests included painting, needlepoint, playing bridge, golf, fishing and travel.
