Alice Drell, age 86, born October 17, 1914 and died on January 28, 2001. Miss. Drell received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Chicago and was a Social Worker with the blind for over 24 years. At the time of her retirement she was the Director of Education at the University of Illinois Visually Handicapped Institute in Chicago (now called ICRE). She was an avid artist and painter who had the opportunity to display much of her work with the Chicago Park District, where she also took classes. Miss. Drell was very active with the Grey Panthers organization. She was preceded in death by her parents. In accordance with her wishes, her body will be donated to Science. No service is planned.
