I find myself wondering what all the flak is about giving money to faith-based organizations. We have so many problems in this country as it is–homelessness, poverty, hunger, social problems, etc.–that we can use all the help we can get.
Most faith-based organizations already do what they can, but they are limited as to how much they can help due to financial considerations. I think that the people who are complaining about the separation of church and state probably never have been in need of the help that churches and other such organizations provide.
Let’s let all the organizations that can help–secular and religious alike–help.
